Developing competence in Insurance Medicine

Quality assurance through educational work to develop competences in insurance medicine.

The Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) is the public authority that administers social insurance and ensures that patients get the benefits and allowances they are entitled to. Administrative officers and doctors need understanding of insurance medicine to secure giving the right decision in the right way. It is therefore important that education within the insurance medicine field hold high standards.

We have helped organizations that administer courses in insurance medicine to develop knowledge and to quality assurance their education.

We have held a series of workshops in

  • Gothenburg – /Region Västra Götaland / Västra Götalandsregionen (Participants: doctors and administrative officers from the region, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and the Swedish Employment Agency)
  • Kalmar – Kalmar County Council / Landstinget i Kalmar (planned for in 2016)
